Truck Bed Liner

Crack-free CIMPlate™ Sets New Records.

Canadian Innovative Materials” (CIM) proprietary hybrid chrome carbide overlay (CCO) matrix powder, combined with advanced automatic welding technology —featuring a modified submerged arc welding process—and innovative post-weld heat treatment, has enabled the production of crack-free CIMPlate™ wear plates with overlay thicknesses up to 25 mm in a single weld pass. These wear plates offer an exceptionally smooth surface, eliminating common issues such as check cracks and underbead cracking typically found in conventional CCO plates. The CIMPlate™ wear plates have undergone rigorous tests by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and InnoTech Alberta, confirming their outstanding wear and impact resistance.

Field Proven Performance

CIMPlate™ with 20+12 mm thickness installed by a major oil sands operator has processed 400 million tons with only 2–3 mm/year average wear — doubling the service life compared to standard CCO plates.

Performance Comparison Between CIMPlate™ and OEM CCO Wear Plates

The Crack-free CIMCCO plate-form.jpg

With significantly above-average CCO thickness (industry average: 6 -- 12.5 mm) and exceptional wear and impact resistance, CIMPlate™ are redefining industry performance records. To date, hundreds of tons of CIMPlate™ have been successfully installed across mining and oil sands operations in Canada. These plates dramatically extend service life while reducing part replacement frequency and maintenance costs for critical components such as pump box liners, bucket liners, truck bed liners, and hopper chute liners.

For specialized applications, PTA WCO liners are also available on request.
